Partners, not just staff
At MeddyCare, we believe exceptional care starts with respecting the carer. We don't just fill shifts; we build careers, offering stability, genuine support, and the professional respect you deserve.
What’s in it for you?
We know you have a choice. Here’s why professionals choose MeddyCare.
Competitive & clear pay
Earn a wage that reflects your skills and responsibility: transparent weekly pay, holiday pay and pension contributions. No hidden deductions.
Thoughtful matching
We don't force placements. We match you on personality, skills and interests, so you work with families where you can truly connect.
Stable rotations
Say goodbye to chaotic schedules. We plan rotations well in advance (typically 2 to 4 weeks on/off) so you can plan your own life.
Wellbeing first
Care is hard work. We provide confidential wellbeing support and ensure you have proper breaks. Your mental health matters to us.
A named contact
No generic call centre. You'll have a dedicated Care Coordinator who knows you, knows your client, and has your back.
Autonomy & trust
We hire professionals and treat you like one. While we provide support, we trust you to manage the day-to-day care environment.
Your career, supported.
We invest in our teams. Whether you want to specialise in dementia care, sharpen your clinical skills, or just want the peace of mind that comes with robust operational support, we’re here.
Training & qualifications
Access to NVQ/Diplomas, condition-specific modules (Parkinson's, dementia), and regular refreshers.
Field supervision
Regular visits from field supervisors who are there to mentor you, not just inspect you.
Feedback loops
Regular appraisals and chances for you to give feedback on the care plan and the company.

What we look for in a carer
You turn up on time, every time. Families rely on you, and so do we.
You know your stuff, but you also know when to ask for help.
It sounds simple, but kindness is the engine of everything we do.

Common questions
How does pay work?
You're paid weekly, directly into your bank account. We set and negotiate your rate with each family on your behalf, based on the complexity of the placement, and typical weekly earnings range from £650 to £1,400. You always see your rate before you accept an introduction.
What about travel costs?
We cover reasonable travel expenses to your placement. If you use your own car for client outings during a placement, mileage is reimbursed.
Do I need to be self-employed?
Yes. Our carers work on a self-employed basis, which is standard for live-in care arranged through introductory agencies. You stay in control of when you work and which placements you accept, and you look after your own tax and National Insurance. We negotiate your rate for you, so you never have to.
What experience do I need?
We generally look for at least 6 months of professional care experience. However, if you have cared for a family member and have the right attitude, we offer a comprehensive induction program to get you up to speed.
Ready to make a difference?
